Air-fried calzones stuffed with shredded chicken, creamy Alfredo, spinach and gooey cheeses for a golden handheld dinner.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Dough

01 - 1 lb pizza dough, store-bought or homemade

→ Filling

02 - 7 oz cooked chicken breast, shredded or diced
03 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
04 - 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
05 - 1/2 cup Alfredo sauce
06 - 1/2 cup chopped baby spinach, optional
07 - 1 clove garlic, minced
08 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
09 - Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

→ Assembly

10 - 1 egg, beaten
11 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
12 - 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, optional

# How To Make It:

01 - Preheat the air fryer to 360°F for 5 minutes.
02 - Divide the pizza dough into 4 portions. Roll each into a 6-inch circle on a lightly floured surface.
03 - Combine chicken, mozzarella, Parmesan, Alfredo sauce, spinach if using, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Stir until evenly mixed.
04 - Arrange a quarter of the filling onto half of each dough circle, leaving a 1/2-inch border at the edge.
05 - Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the filling for a cheesier crust if desired.
06 - Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon. Press edges to seal and use a fork to crimp.
07 - Brush the top of each calzone with beaten egg and drizzle or brush lightly with olive oil.
08 - Place calzones in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary.
09 - Air fry calzones at 360°F for 12–15 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
10 - Let calzones cool for 2 to 3 minutes before serving.

# Helpful Hints:

01 -
  • Your air fryer turns pizza dough into shatteringly crisp pockets that make takeout jealous—and yes, you get first pick.
  • Between the gooey cheese pull and juicy chicken, I guarantee there are zero leftovers every time I make these.
02 -
  • Once I overstuffed the calzones and the filling burst right out mid-cook—don't make my mistake, keep a little border for sealing!
  • Chilling the filling for a few minutes before stuffing cuts way down on leaks.
03 -
  • Don't skip the fork crimp—it saves the day against leaks and messes.
  • Go for extra cheese inside if you want that unforgettable melty middle.
